Minority Mental Health Symposium July 31st, 2020
July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Positive Growth, Inc. invites you to our 3rd Annual Symposium on July 31st, 2020. This year all our workshops are virtual because of COVID-19.
Join our conversation about the urgency of addressing mental health in our minority communities, and how we are facing these challenges during the pandemic. Topics include Trauma and the Brain, a documentary viewing and discussion on stress, resilience and hope, a look at how ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) impact minority communities, an exploration of the Community Resiliency Model (CRM), and sharing of resources for our minority communities.
All are welcome to attend, not just mental health professionals. Registration and CEUs are free.
I will be presenting on Trauma during COVID-19 in the Refugee Community (1.5 CEUs). Here is a description of the workshop.
